Apple Seeds First Beta of OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan to Developers

Apple has seeded the first beta of OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan to developers. The beta is the test version of what will eventually be the first update to the as yet unreleased OS X 10.11 El Capitan, due to be released to the public on September 30.

The new beta – build 15B17c – is available via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store and also via download from the Apple Developer Center.

MacRumors notes the OS X 10.11.1 beta brings support for Unicode 8 and a range of important emoji like taco, burrito, cheese wedge, hot dog, middle finger, and unicorn head. Those emoji are also included in iOS 9.1, which currently is also in testing.
