Apple Debuts iCloud for Windows 5 – Includes Support for iCloud Photo Library

Apple on Friday released iCloud for Windows 5, which includes support for iCloud Photo Library, and two-factor Apple ID authentication.

Use iCloud Photo Library on your Windows PC to download all of the photos and videos from your Apple devices to your computer, or upload your Windows Pictures library to iCloud. And when you turn on iCloud Photo Sharing, you can share your captured memories with just the people you choose.

Until today’s release, Windows users were limited to accessing their iCloud Photo Libraries via the iCloud.com web interface. Windows users can download iCloud for Windows from this link. The software supports Outlook 2007 through Outlook 2013. Outlook 2016 users will need to access their Mail, Contacts, and Calendars via the iCloud.com website.

Instructions for setting up and using iCloud Photo Library in Windows, is available here, while more information about iCloud for Windows can be found here.
