No More Downgrades from iOS 9.1, as Apple Stops Signing iOS 9.0.2

iOS users can no longer downgrade from iOS 9.1 to iOS 9.0.2, as Apple on Thursday stopped signing that version of iOS via iTunes. The Cupertino firm is now only signing iOS 9,1 and newer.

The move mostly affects jailbreaking fans who might have wished to downgrade their device to take advantage of features available only on jailbroken devices. The iOS 9.1 update fixes the exploits used to jailbreak iOS 9.0.2 and lower devices.

The latest untethered jailbreak for iOS devices was released a few weeks back by Pangu, and works on devices runningĀ iOS 9, iOS 9.0.1, and iOS 9.0.2.
