AppleInsider:

Apple announced the forthcoming grand opening through its Chinese website on Sunday, just one day after opening a brick-and-mortar store in Chengdu.

The store is an in-mall shop, likely similar in size to the city’s most recent Apple Store opened in China Central Mall, which began accepting customers in January. As is usual, the store will include space for a Genius Bar and an area for workshops. A few classes are scheduled for November 29th. Classes with seats available include those covering iPad basics, photo editing on Mac and Mac basics.

China has quickly become Apple’s most important growth market, with $12.5 billion in revenue generated there over the last fiscal quarter of 2015. The company has big plans for the country, as Apple CEO Tim Cook recently revealed he expects China to pass the U.S. as Apple’s largest market. Apple intends to expand its retail footprint by 40 more stores by mid-2016.
