Apple Releases Beta 3 of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan to Developers

Apple on Tuesday seeded the third beta of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan to developers for testing. The new release comes just one week after the release of the second beta seed.

The new beta – build 15C40a – is available via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store, and is also available via download from the Apple Developer Center.

So far, the OS X 10.11.2 update has concentrated on under-the-hood enhancements, focusing on improvements in performance and security, as well as general bug fixes for issues that OS X 10.11 El Capitan users have found so far.

The release notes for OS X 10.11.2 ask developers to focus on: Networking, Graphics, Mail, Wi-Fi, Calendar, USB, Notes, Photos, and Spotlight.
