Apple Watch 2 Event Planned for March, 4-in iPhone Could Make an Appearance

Citing “sources with knowledge of the plans,”9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman says Apple is planning a March event to unveil the Apple Watch 2, and possibly the 4-inch “iPhone 6c.”

Gurman:

Apple is currently planning a March 2016 event to unveil the second-generation Apple Watch, according to sources with knowledge of the plans. The second version of the Apple Watch would then ship by April, nearly a year after the original model first went on sale. Apple has also been working on a new “iPhone 6c” with a 4-inch display, which also could appear at this event, according to the sources…

Apple reportedly began developing new technologies for future Apple Watch models before the first generation debuted. Such features as a new camera, more heath tracking sensors, sleep tracking, and more are rumored to be under development.

Gurman’s sources also tell him that the much-rumored 4-inch “iPhone 6c” could also make an appearance at the shindig, using the same displays as the current iPhone 5s. The device’s specs will reportedly fall somewhere in between the iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s, possibly using the older iPhone’s camera, while including an up to date A9 chip, as used by the iPhone 6s.
