The Beatles: 1+ Music Video Collection Debuts in the iTunes Store

A new collection of 50 music videos by The Beatles is now available in the iTunes Store for $26.99. The Beatles: 1+ Music Video Collection includes remastered versions of the band’s most popular singles, along with a collection of “mini-movies” the quartet made to promote the songs.

MacNews:

1+ includes restored videos for all 27 of The Beatles’ No.1 U.K. and U.S. singles, plus 23 more, including alternate versions and other rarely seen clips.

The new audio mixes were produced by GRAMMY winning team of Giles Martin with Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios. The duo used the original analog tapes to produce the new mixes. In addition, original producer of of “Free As A Bird” and “Real Love,” Jeff Lynne, remixed the audio for those two videos. Engineer Steve Jay also worked on Several of the videos.

“After The Beatles stopped touring, and because travelling around the globe to promote new releases was impossible, they increasingly made what could be described as “mini movies”. These pioneering promotional films and videos helped to define the way we have come to watch music. The Beatles 1+ features all of their 27 #1, UK and US singles as beautifully restored videos for each song, along with 23 alternate versions, as well as rarely seen and newly restored films and videos of additional songs.”

The collection includes exclusive audio commentary and filmed introductions from surviving band members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, and also includes a 113-page illustrated book containing an “an appreciation” of The Beatles’ films and videos by music journalist and author Mark Ellen, as well as extensive, detailed track/video annotations by music historian Richard Havers.

The Beatles: 1+ Music Video Collection is available in the iTunes Store for $26.99 for HD, and $21.99 for SD. [GET IT HERE]
