Acer Introduces New Ultra-Wide USB-C Monitors

Owners of Apple’s new MacBook will be interested in news from Acer, who has announced their new H7 series of monitors which features support for USB-C connectors. Acer says the monitors are the first to offer support for the USB-C standard.

Slashgear:

The two new additions to the line are 25 and 27-inch monitors that sport WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. Both feature HDMI 2.0 and USB Type-C connectors for input. However, should you choose the Type-C connector, you’ll be able to not only see the display from your device, but if you’re using a phone or laptop, you’ll be able to charge them at the same time, with just that one cable.

Its two additional, regular-sized USB ports allow users to connect a keyboard, mouse, or other supported peripheral. The H7 line supports 100% of the sRGB gamut, offering the best color reproduction possible. The monitors also boast conventional HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. The new additions to the H7 monitor lineup will be available in February, starting at $499.
