It’s Official: Apple Event Set for March 21st – ‘Let us loop you in’

Apple has made it official. The Cupertino iPhone maker has sent out invitations to a media event to be held on Monday, March 21, at Apple’s Town Hall auditorium on it 1 Infinite Loop campus. (Via BuzzFeed) The invitations, which carry the tagline: “Let us loop you in,” indicate the event will kickoff at 10AM Pacific Time. (1 PM Eastern.)

Apple is expected to debut a number of new products at the event, including a new 4-inch “iPhone SE,” a new 9.7-inch iPad, (possibly using the Pro moniker, and sporting some of the features of its larger sibling), and new Apple Watch bands. There’s always a possibility the company might unveil new Mac models, but there haven’t been any rumors floating around cyberspace as there have been with the other rumored debuts.

Rumors concerning the new 4-inch iPhone SE indicate it will look similar to the iPhone 5s, but will include an A9 chip, and improved camera, and NFC support for Apple Pay.

The 9.7-inch iPad has been called both the “iPad Air 3,” and the “iPad Pro.” The device is said to include a number of “Pro” features, including four-speakers, a Smart Connector for connecting accessories such as a smaller version of the 12.9-inch Pro’s Smart Keyboard, and possibly Apple Pencil support, and a rear-facing camera with a flash – a first for any iPad model.

Apple is also said to be planning to debut new Apple Watch bands at the event, including existing bands in new colors, and possibly a Space Black Milanese Loop, as well as a nylon band.

The even will kickoff at 10AM Pacific on Monday, March 21, and MacTrast will be supplying live coverage during the event. Be there. Aloha.
