How the World is Going Cashless (Infographic)

While we concentrate on Apple Pay around these parts, we have to admit, Apple’s contactless payments service is just one piece of the cashless society we find in place more and more around the world.

The folks at Choice Loans over in the UK have been nice enough to put together a pretty cool infographic that shows exactly how the world is going cashless, and which countries are leading the way.

For example, the top 3 most cashless countries in the world are Singapore, Netherlands and France, with 61% of payments made in Singapore being cashless! Four out of five purchases in Sweden are made electronically or by debit card. In the UK, over half of payments made are cashless, while in the United States, 45% are made with something besides cash. (40% of Americans carry less than $20 in cash, while 9% don’t carry cash at all.)
