Apple Store App Updated With New 3D Touch Features

Apple on Thursday updated its Apple Store app to add new 3D Touch features for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. While previously the app supported 3D Touch Quick Actions from the Home Screen, today’s update adds new features within the app.

While using the app, shoppers can now use Peek and Pop gestures to view content. A force press on a link in the app will display a “Peek” preview of the item or category, while applying slightly more pressure allows the user to “Pop” into the page being peeked into.

The new features join the previous 3D Touch Quick Actions on the app’s icon, which would allow users to quickly access orders, see a list of stores, view accessories, and jump right into shopping. (As seen in the screenshot on the left, above.)

Thursday’s update also makes the app itself available in Korea, Russia, and Thailand. The app was not previously available for download and use in those countries.

If you need to download the Apple Store app, it is available from the App Store. [GET IT HERE]
