Battery Share Lets You Know When Your Friend’s iPhone is Low on Battery Power

Sure, there are plenty of ways to track your own iPhone’s battery life, but how about your friend’s iPhone battery? Battery Share warns you when your friend’s device has a low battery. Now you can tell if they are just ignoring you, or if their device’s battery really is running too low to talk.

I’m really not sure what to make of this app, but it was just oddball enough that I had to let you all know about it. After installing Battery Share on your own devices, you send a message to your friends, inviting them to install the app on their iPhone and share their device’s battery status with you.

Features Include:

  • Quickly see the battery status of your friends and family
  • Low Battery Notifications from followers on your list
  • Simple privacy controls
  • VoIP calling
  • Customizable notifications

The app allows you to see what the battery power level is of your friends device, plus, the app will display if the device is charging, or is in low-power mode. Notifications are also available, and you select exactly who you’ll receive the notifications from. The app also includes Voice over IP calling capabilities, so you can also stay in touch with friends via the app.

While at first I couldn’t see who this would be aimed at, I can see where parents would want to install it on their offspring’s devices, so they can’t pull the old “I couldn’t call because my iPhone died,” trick. I suppose it could also be used in a business setting, where battery power of employee’s battery levels could be monitored so they could be warned if it gets low. Can you think of others?

Anyhow… Battery Share 1.0.1 is $0.99, and is available in the App Store. [GET IT HERE]
