A number of Reddit and Twitter users are reporting issues with the search function in both the iOS and Mac App Store. Users report incorrect search results, and major apps, such as Star Wars, Spotify, and even Apple’s own Xcode, not showing up in search results.

In addition to apps not appearing in search results, users also report iPhone apps being displayed in iPad-only search results, and vice-versa.

The search issues appear to be widespread, affecting customers in the United States, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, and other locales. Apple’s system status page has not been updated to reflect any reported issues as of 7:25AM Central.

9to5Mac reports Apple is aware of the issue, and is working to solve the problem. It has confirmed that no apps have been pulled from the store.

We’ll keep our eye on things, and report back anything we learn.
