Apple Releases iOS 9.3.3 – Offers Bug Fixes and Performance Enhancements

Apple in Monday released iOS 9.3.3 to the public. The update is the third minor update Apple has made to the mobile operating system since iOS 9.3 launched in March of 2016. Today’s update is available as an over-the-air update for all iOS 9 users and can also be downloaded through iTunes.

The iOS 9.3.3 update is focused mainly on under-the-hood performance improvements and bug fixes rather than visible changes, as is usual with such small 9.x.x changes.

We will likely be nearing the last of the iOS 9-based updates, as iOS 10 is currently in beta testing, and is scheduled for a September release, alongside the new iPhones.

iOS 10 will offer a number of new features and interface tweaks, including a new Lock Screen that includes 3D Touch-enabled notifications, a redesigned Control Center, and a new Widgets Screen. The Lock Screen also offers easier access to the Camera.

Other improvements include improved Messages, featuring handwritten notes, background animations, effects, new emoji, and an App Store for iMessage which will offer new stickers, animations and more for use in the Messages app.
