T-Mobile Makes Calling and Texting to Nice, France Free for Customers

In the wake of the horrible terrorist attack in Nice, France that left 84 people dead, U.S. wireless carrier T-Mobile has announced it will offer free calls and texts from the United States to Nice. The carrier will also waive roaming fees on calls and texts for customers in that area.

“We are all heartbroken to hear about the horrific events in Nice,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. “Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this senseless violence.”

The offer applies to all T-Mobile Simple Choice postpaid and prepaid customers, as well as customers of MetroPCS, GoSmart Mobile, and WalMart Family Mobile. It is effective from Thursday, July 14 through Sunday, July 17.  Customers will see regular charges on their bills with corresponding credits.
