ABC News Now App Adds Support for Siri Live Tune-In Feature on Apple TV

Earlier this year, Apple debuted “Live Tune-In, a new feature for Siri on their Apple TV set top box, that allows users to jump right into the live feed from a supported app. On Thursday, ABC News gained support for the feature, allowing users to instruct Siri to jump directly to live news broadcasts.

Live Tune-In also works with the following apps: CBS, CBS News, CNN Go, Cooking Channel, Disney Channel, Disney Jr., Disney XD, DIY, ESPN, Food Network, FXNOW, HGTC, and Travel Channel.

The feature can accessed by instructing Siri to “Watch ABC News Live,” or Watch Cooking Channel Live.” The feature is available to customers who own a fourth-generation Apple TV, with Siri Remote. Access to channels requires a cable subscription, and authorization through the cable provider. The Live Tune-In feature is currently only available to United States viewers.
