iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Now Available for Pre-Order – Shipping Dates Beginning to Slide

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus via its online store and via its Apple Store app. All four of the major U.S. wireless carriers, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, are also accepting pre-orders for the new handsets, along with Best Buy and Target.

Countries where Apple is accepting pre-orders include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK, US Virgin Islands and the US.

While this is great news for iPhone fans, here comes the bad news for customers who had hoped to snag a shiny new Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus. If you weren’t able to grab one in the very early going, expect a bit of a wait for delivery of your new precious. Like… Sometime in November.

Pre-orders of the new handsets began at 12:01AM Pacific time, this morning. In just under 20 minutes, shipping estimates began sliding out past September. Orders currently being placed for the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus won’t be shipped until sometime in November, and other colors have slid to a shipping estimate of two to three weeks.

Meanwhile all colors of the smaller iPhone 7, including Jet Black, are currently showing 2-3 week or 3-4 week shipping estimates, depending on the carrier. (unlocked iPhone 7/7 Plus models are not yet available.)

Those wishing to get a particular model and color ::COUGH!:: Jet Black 256GB iPhone 7 Plus! ::COUGH:: can still possibly score one, if they visit an Apple retail location on launch day, which is next Friday, November 16.
