Mixpanel: Just Six Days in, and iOS 10 is Already on One-Third of Compatible Devices

After six days of public availability, iOS 10 is already on 33% of compatible iOS devices tracked by analytics firm Mixpanel. The firm says iOS 10 tracking is at 34.3% of Apple devices, up from an initial figure of 14%, measured 24 hours after the initial launch of the new mobile operating system.

AppleInsider:

As expected, iOS 10’s uptick comes at the cost of iOS 9 share, with 61.5 percent of devices still running Apple’s last-generation operating system as of Sunday. Those running OS versions older than iOS 9 are also upgrading, as the number of tracked legacy users fell from 5.42 percent last week to 4.86 percent.

While the adoption numbers for iOS 10 seem impressive, they are lagging behind that of last year’s iOS 9 adoption rates, which showed iOS 9 installed on over 50% of all compatible devices just four days in. That was a record rate for iOS adoption.

Apple released their new version of iOS last week, offering enhancements to the Messages app, (which included apps and stickers), Maps, Siri, Apple Music, and more.
