Tonight marks the first of three scheduled debates between U.S. presidential candidates Hillary Clinton (D) and Donald Trump (R). Many observers believe this could turn out to be the most-watch presidential debate in history.

To be the top-watched presidential debate in history, it will have to attract more than 80 million viewers who watched the 1980 debate. Debates in recent years have drawn smaller audiences, with the first 2012 debate drawing only 67 million sets of eyes.
