Apple Fitness Chief Jay Blahnik, Marathoner Joan Benoit Samuelson and Trainer Jeanette Jenkins to Appear at NYC Soho Apple Store

The New York SoHo Apple Store will play host to Apple fitness chief Jay Blahnik, who will sit down for a discussion about health and innovation with marathoner Joan Benoit Samuelson and celebrity fitness trainer Jeanette Jenkins, on Friday, November 4, at 4PM Eastern time.

Appleinsider:

Blahnik, Apple’s Director of Fitness for Health Technologies and former Nike executive, is an avid runner, while marathoner Benoit Samuelson won gold at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Joining them on stage will be Jenkins, a celebrity fitness guru who has starred in a number of workout videos published by her company Hollywood Trainer, as well as a television show on Lifetime.

As Jenkins is planning on running in her first marathon, running with the Apple Watch is a likely subject for the trio discuss. Apple has hosted similar events in Boston and London, headlined by model Christy Turlington Burns, who was one of the first Apple Watch celebrity ambassadors.

The event comes on the heels of last week’s release of Apple Watch Nike+, a special version of Apple’s recently released Apple Watch Series 2 wearable device. The Nike edition of the device offers custom bands, the Nike+ Run Club app, and special display modes designed for use by runners.

If you’re going to be in the New York area, and wish to attend the event, you can RSVP via the SoHo store’s website.
