Apple Gets Back Into the Black Friday Sale Game This Year

It appears Apple is ready to get back into the Black Friday sale game, as it has updated its website with a new Black Friday teaser. Apple sat on the bench last year, forcing customers to go to third-party retailers for deals on Apple products.

Friday can’t come soon enough.

Our one-day shopping event will be here before you know it. Come back this Friday to check off everyone on your list.

As is normal for Apple, the teaser page offers no solid information on specific deals, instead simply advertising a “one-day shopping event.” In previous years, pre-2015, Apple’s Black Friday prices proved to be nowhere near as low as the blockbuster discounts available on their products from third-party retailers. Instead the company sometimes offered package deals, or a gift card with specific purchases of Macs, iPads, or iPhones.

Apple will offer free shipping from its online store on Black Friday on in-stock items ordered by 5PM. Apple retail store operating hours vary, so you’ll need to check your local Apple store’s extended holiday hours to see when they open on Black Friday. (For example, the stores in our area are opening at 8AM on Black Friday, a mere two hours earlier than normal.)

If you’d like to plan your shopping list to get ready for the Apple Black Friday sale, Apple has provided four handy links to holiday gift collections, “Apple gifts,” “Music gifts,” “Photography gifts” and “Games & Toys.”
