Rumor: ‘iPhone 8’ to be Available in New ‘Blush Gold’ Color

Rumors have been circulating claiming that Apple’s new “iPhone 8” handset will be available in three colors, including black, white, and a gold option that is of a different shade than the current gold and rose gold options. Now come a report that the new gold shade will be called “Blush Gold.”

Rumor: 'iPhone 8' to be Available in New 'Blush Gold' Color

MacRumors:

In addition to the new color name, the post appears to suggest that the “Blush Gold” color will only come in 64GB and 128GB storage capacities. Currently, Apple offers the iPhone 7 in black, silver, gold, and rose gold, all in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities, and limits its jet black option to 128GB and 256GB capacities, so the idea that the company wouldn’t offer the new color in a 256GB capacity seems unlikely.

Last week, well-connected KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed the entire 2017 iPhone lineup would be available in black, silver, and gold. Kuo made no specific mention of a “copper gold” shade. The shade has appeared in numerous videos of dummy iPhone 8 models, following the original Weibo post.

As always, nothing is official until we see Apple unveil the new handsets on-stage later this year. However, I think the “Blush Gold” color looks great. But, I’ve always been partial to both the Gold and Rose Gold versions of Apple’s products, so what do I know? Let me know what you think of the rumored shade, in the comments section below.
