Super Mario Run for iOS to Receive New Enemies, New Mode, and Temporary Price Cut

Nintendo is hoping to renew interest in their Super Mario Run game for iOS. The game started strong out of the gate, but interest has waned in recent months.

Nintendo will rollout an update to the endless runner on September 29th. Players will be able to play the game as Daisy, run through a new world called World Star which features nine levels, face new enemies and gameplay mechanics, and listen to their own music while playing.

The levels are filled with new enemies, cool gameplay mechanics, and of course include pink, purple, and black coin-collecting challenges. Nintendo is promising surprise for even the most seasoned Super Mario Run Players in this one.

The game will also feature a new mode called Remix 10, which remixes and randomizes the existing levels of the game in an effort to reignite interest for long-time players.

Remix 10 is a frenetic new mode in which you play a set of 10 super-short sections from Super Mario Run’s existing levels in quick succession. The stages are remixed with each attempt, and with rainbow-colored bonus medals strewn across these bite-sized stages, it’s a fresh challenge every time.

Nintendo will slash the price of Super Mario Run by 50% for two weeks, from September 29th to October 12th, making it just $4.99.

Super Mario is currently available through the App Store for iOS device for $9.99. Wait until September 29th, and the price will drop to $4.99, but only until October 12th. [GET IT HERE]
