White House: Tim Cook ‘Most Helpful’ and Promised Apple investment in U.S.

Following Wednesday’s meeting between U.S. President Donal Trump and Apple CEO Tim Cook, White House Director of the National Economic Council Larry Kudlow had nothing but praise for Cook’s experience in dealing with China.

AppleInsider:

On Thursday, Kudlow returned to his former digs at CNBC and gave some background on Wednesday’s meeting between Cook and President Donald Trump, which he attended at least in part.

“Tim Cook was most helpful. I really enjoyed the meeting,” Kudlow told the network’s Squawk on the Street. “I spent a good amount of time with him, and then I came back and we visited POTUS.”

Kudlow said Cook “loves the tax cut and tax reform.” He continued, saying “He said it’s great for business. And Apple is going to be building plants, campuses, adding jobs, lots of business investment. That was the first point he made to President Trump.”

Kudlow also praised Cook’s “experience in China,” adding the Apple CEO made some suggestions on how to best handle the Chinese government.

So far, neither Apple or Cook have made any remarks or official announcements related to Wednesday’s meeting.
