Some iPhone X Users Complaining of Cracked Camera Lenses

A growing number of iPhone X users are complaining of cracked camera lenses on their devices. The owners have taken to Reddit and Apple’s support forums to complain about the issue.

The users also complain that Apple is refusing to replace the device under warranty, instead charging them for a full device replacement. Users say they haven’t dropped their iPhone X, which could cause such damage.

Some of the users say the issue is linked to cold weather. (Comments via 9to5Mac):

Bought the iPhone X right before Christmas, and found a crack on the rear camera glass last night. The phone has been used with cover all the time and no drop or accident. Went to Apple Store this morning and was told to pay a whopping $549 to have it fixed.

However, other users saw lens cracking on their iPhone X’s camera lens, even in warmer weather:

I read some people have this issue in cold climate, I live in Malaysia and weather is hot and humid around 32-36 Celsius daily.. and we don’t have apple store in Malaysia here, so can not count on authorized centers, but refuse for repair.

Currently, it’s unclear as to how widespread the issue is. Have you experienced this issue with your iPhone X? If so, please share your experiences in the comments section.
