Apple Releases macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 – Adds Messages in iCloud Support

Apple on Friday released macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 to the public. The update, the fifth major update to the operating system since the original release of High Sierra, brings support for Messages in iCloud.

Messages in iCloud allows users to store messages and their attachments in iCloud, freeing up space on a user’s Mac.

The macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 update improves the stability, performance, and security of your Mac and is recommended for all users.

This update adds support for Messages in iCloud, which lets you store messages with their attachments in iCloud and free up space on your Mac. To enable Messages in iCloud, go to Preferences in Messages, click Accounts, then select “Enable Messages in iCloud”.

Messages in iCloud support was enabled on iOS devices earlier this week, with the release of iOS 11.4.

The macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 is available as a direct download in the Mac App Store, or via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store. The update is compatible with all Macs that already have macOS High Sierra installed.
