Apple Removes Integration for Some Third-Party Internet Accounts from macOS Mojave

Apple’s upcoming macOS Mojave operating system will no longer include built-in integration for some third-party internet accounts. Those removed include Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, and Vimeo. The feature allows macOS users to store their third-party account information for access as needed by apps that use those services.

The company removed support for the feature from iOS last year with the release of iOS 11. While the integration was present in macOS High Sierra, Reddit user Marc1199 noticed that the support has been removed in macOS 10.14 Mojave. (Via MacRumors)

The above image shows that third-party support for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, and Vimeo have all been removed.

The apparent removal of the third-party integration is likely a part of Apple’s moves to enhance privacy protections in new versions of their venerable operating systems.
