Microsoft Testing Built-In Adblock Plus Integration in Edge Browser for iOS and Android

Microsoft is testing built-in AdBlock Plus integration in its Edge browser for iOS and Android devices.

The Verge:

Microsoft is building Adblock Plus directly into its Edge browser for iOS and Android. The software giant has started making the integration available to Microsoft Edge for Android beta users over the weekend, alongside an iOS test program. The feature will be rolled out more broadly to all Edge for iOS and Android users soon. The adblocker can be enabled in the Microsoft Edge settings, and doesn’t require a separate add-in to download and install.

There is no native ad blocking functionality in Apple’s Safari browser for iOS, users can install one of several ad blocking apps from the iOS App Store.

Microsoft’s Edge browser is available across a variety of devices, including on the Windows, Android and iOS platforms. The browser offers syncing of favorites, passwords, and reading lists, as well as a “Continue on PC” option that allows users to pick up their browsing session from their mobile device to their PC.

Microsoft Edge is free and it is available for the iPad and iPhone through the App Store. [GET IT HERE]
