Apple & Big Four U.S. Wireless Carriers Offering Two Free Months of 200GB iCloud Storage to New iCloud Customers

Apple and the big four U.S. wireless carriers are offering two free months of the 200GB tier of the Cupertino firm’s iCloud storage service.

AppleInsider:

The promonoticed on Reddit, is only available to new (paid) iCloud customers, and is nominally meant to ensure they “have enough space to safely back up all the important things on your iPhone, like photos, videos, files, and apps” so the data can be restored once a new phone arrives. The link above mentions Sprint in the URL but should also work for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

Apple has been offering 30-day free trials of its paid tiers of iCloud storage since May. This new offer adds an additional month of free service. Users will be charged $2.99 per month when the free trial expires. Users can cancel the service any time.

Although Apple offers a free level of storage for iCloud users it is a limited to just 5GB, barely enough space for a single iOS device backup for light users. Apple offers additional storage, charging 99 cents per month for 50 gigabytes, $2.99 for 200 gigabytes, and $9.99 for 2 terabytes.
