MoviePass Now Limiting Subscribers to One of 6 Movies Per Day

MoviePass has announced new restrictions on its movie service. The company will now be limiting its subscribers to six to seven movies per day to choose from.

MacRumors:

On the MoviePass site, MoviePass lists “This Week’s Movies,” a section described as a “full lineup of movie titles available on MoviePass in the coming days.”

For example, today’s lineup includes Mile 22, Christopher Robin, The Miseducation of Cameron Post, We The Animals, Skate Kitchen, Juliet Naked, and Summer of 84.

MoviePass announced the new restrictions in a tweet:

Popular movies not included in today’s limited list do not include such current hots as Mama Mia, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and the latest entry in the Mission Impossible franchise.

MoviePass has restructured its subscription model multiple times in recent times.

MoviePass in early August restructured its subscription model to allow customers to see three movies per month for the $9.95 monthly fee. Prior to that, MoviePass had announced that it would raise its base subscription price to $14.95 per month, and before that, it introduced peak pricing and restricted major film releases, all in an attempt to stop hemorrhaging money.
