New ‘Shot on iPhone XS’ Video Showcases iPhone XS Slo-mo, 4K, and Time-Lapse Capabilities

Apple has posted a video on its YouTube channel to show off the video recording abilities of its new iPhone XS flagship handset. The new device was unveiled at the Cupertino firm’s shindig on Wednesday.

The video provides a look at video shot with the new device, which Apple says offers the “highest quality video shot on any smartphone.”

The video, which runs for just under 2 minutes, offers a peek at the device’s 4K, Slo-mo, and Time-lapse modes. and also offers a behind-the-scenes look at how the scenes were set up.

 

Apple claims the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max cameras offer larger pixels and a faster sensor than those offered by previous iPhones, providing improved low-light performance and video stabilization. Sound recording is also improved on the new handsets, as they offer four built-in mics to allow video to be recorded in stereo.

Pre-orders for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max begin on Friday, September 14, and the devices will hit shelves on September 21. Both devices are available in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities, and color options include Space Gray, Silver, and Gold. Pricing for the iPhone XS starts at $999 in 64GB, while the iPhone XS Max starts at $1,099 in 64GB.
