Apple Seeds Beta Three of macOS Mojave 10.14.1 Update to Developers

Apple on Monday seeded the third beta of their upcoming macOS Mojave 10.14.1 update to developers. The update comes one week after the second beta release.

macOS Mojave introduces a new method of installing software updates. After the first beta seed is installed using the appropriate profile from the Apple Developer Center, later betas can be downloaded and installed using the “Software Updates” panel in System Preferences.

macOS Mojave 10.14.1 brings back support for Group FaceTime, which was removed during 10.14 beta testing. The feature allows users to chat with up to 32 people at once.

Also along for the ride are more than 70 new emoji characters, the same one’s debuting in iOS 12.1 and watchOS 5.1. The new emojis include new options for various types of hair including red, as well as new faces, food items, and more.
