Farming Simulation RPG Stardew Valley Coming to iOS on October 24, Pre-Orders Available Now

Developer ConcernedApe announced on Tuesday that the popular farming simulation RPG Stardew Valley will plow into iOS devices October 24.

Today, I’ve got some exciting news to share with everyone – Stardew Valley is coming to mobile, and it’s actually releasing on the iOS App Store in just over 2 weeks time, on October 24th!

The mobile port is being developed by London-based mobile development studio, The Secret Police, who have been working closely with me for about a year. Chucklefish has been handling the business and marketing side of things. While the game will launch first on the iOS App Store, The Secret Police are currently working on finishing up the Android version, and I hope to give you more news about an exact launch date soon.

Stardew Valley is an in-depth RPG where players take over their grandfather’s failing far, and must work to bring it back to profitability by planting and tending to crops, raising animals, and creating goods for sale.

BUILD THE FARM OF YOUR DREAMS:

■ Turn your overgrown fields into a lively and bountiful farm

■ Raise and breed happy animals, grow a variety of seasonal crops and design your farm, your way

■ Customise your farmer and home! With hundreds of options to choose from

■ Settle down and start a family with 12 potential marriage candidates

■ Become part of the community by taking part in seasonal festivals and villager quests

■ Explore vast, mysterious caves, encountering dangerous monsters and valuable treasure

■ Spend a relaxing afternoon at one of the local fishing spots or go crabbing by the seaside

■ Forage, grow crops and produce artisan goods to cook up as a delicious meal

The developer says the mobile version of the game is a full version that “plays almost identically to all the other versions,” and has been redesigned for touchscreen controls.

Players that have been playing Stardew Valley on the PC will be able to transfer their saved data to the iOS version of the game via iTunes.

Stardew Valley will be available for iPhone and iPad devices for $7.99, and is available for pre-order now, in the App Store. [GET IT HERE]
