As reported by the local outlet Journal Star, a Best Buy store in Peoria, IL was hit by thieves late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. The burglars stole over $150k worth of Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, and other items.

Police were called after the Best Buy manager discovered the robbery at 7:20 am on Thursday.

The burglar(s) completely emptied out the cage bins in the warehouse area of the store, and left a two-wheeled dolly at the entrance to the area.

Police say they hadn’t been alerted by any alarms at the store. The only lead police report so far is a Best Buy employee reports he had noticed some customers looking around near the warehouse area of the store, who left after being asked if they needed help.

The Journal Star reported that surveillance cameras near a Target store in the same shopping center, were not working due to that store’s undergoing remodeling. Best Buy’s corporate team was reviewing its own surveillance footage as well.
