Apple on Wednesday released tvOS 12.1.1 to the public. The update, the third for the tvOS 12 operating system since its initial release in September, is for fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV devices.
The update can be downloaded and installed through the Settings app on the Apple TV. by clicking on “System” -> “Software Update”. Apple TV owners who have automatic software updates switched on will be see their devices upgraded to tvOS 12.1.1 automatically.
iOS 12.1.1 is a minor update, focusing on bug fixes and performance enhancements. No new features were discovered during the tvOS 12.1.1 beta testing period. Apple doesn’t provide release notes for tvOS updates, so telling what’s been fixed or aded without a scorecard is tough.
