Apple on Sunday shared a new “Shot on iPhone” video on their YouTube page. The three-minute video features Eddie Siaumau, a 17-year-old athlete that lives in American Samoa, a U.S. territory located in the South Pacific Ocean that is more likely to produce professional American Football players than any other area of the world.
American Samoa – ‘Football Island’ – produces athletes that are 56 times more likely to play in the NFL than Americans from anywhere else. Photographer and Director Steven Counts presents a portrait of Eddie Siaumau, a 17 – year old athlete who has just accepted a full ride scholarship to a D1 university.
The film was shot on iPhone XS, using: DJI Osmo Mobile 2, FiLMiC Pro, Joby GripTight PRO Video GP Stand, and a NiSi Smartphones Filter Kit.
The three-minute film offers up beautiful shots of American Samoa, as it follows Siaumau as he trains in the gym, on the beach, and other locations.
