Pandora iOS App Update Brings Offline Playback Feature for Apple Watch

Pandora on Friday released an updated version of its iOS app. The new version offers an improved Apple Watch experience with features that include remote access playback, offline playback, and more.

You asked, and we listened! By popular demand, we bring you a brand new, built-from-the-ground-up app that’s seamlessly integrated into the Apple Watch experience, so now you can:
– Access remote playback controls.
– Give your favorites a Thumbs Up directly from the Now Playing screen.
– Listen without an internet connection! Pandora Plus & Premium subscribers get access to offline content – no phone required.
To get started, make sure you have watchOS 5 installed before updating Pandora.

Using the offline playback feature will require a Pandora Plus or Pandora Premium subscription. Pandora Plus is $4.99 per month, and Pandora Premium is $9.99 per month. Pandora Plus delivers unlimited personalized stations, unlimited skips and replays, four stations for offline listening, and no ads.  Pandora Premium, adds the ability to search for music, play any song, and create custom playlists and download music for offline listening.

Users will still not be able to stream music using the Apple Watch’s cellular connection, that feature is still limited to Apple Music.

The new Pandora Apple Watch app requires watchOS 5.
