Can’t Get in to WWDC 2019? Give AltConf 2019 in San Jose a Try!

Can’t get a ticket to Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2019)? You might consider an alternative, specifically AltConf, a popular alternative conference that takes place at the same time as WWDC 2019.

The annual conference is again presenting an alternative for developers who either can’t or simply don’t want to attend WWDC. AltConf offers macOS and iOS developers a chance to meet with other developers at the free event.

This year’s AltConf event will take place at the Marriott San Jose, just a short walk from the McEnery Conference Center where WWDC will be held. AltConf will kickoff on Monday, June 3, and will last through Thursday, June 6.

AltConf is a community-driven event, assembled to serve developers and a product driven community. Held in downtown San Jose at the San Jose Marriott with 900 seats spread over 2 theatres. AltConf is an annual event timed alongside Apple‘s WWDC, June 3-6, 2019.

AltConf will be hosted next door to WWDC, with a direct connection between the San Jose Marriott and the San Jose Convention Center as well as an entrance beside the WWDC entrance, we’ve never been in a better position to bring an amazing conference to the community!

AltConf will offer its traditional Keynote and State of the Union viewings with capacity for over 900 attendees on Monday 3rd June, followed by 3 days with content spread over 2 tracks and one lab room.

New for 2019 is the Apple-themed Escape Room that will require attendees to save an Apple keynote from imminent failure.

You and seven others are backstage in the green room when disaster strikes. Several brand new products have gone missing, the clicker is broken, and the big keynote starts in just 15 minutes.

While AltConf is free to attend, there is an option available to allow developers to become a “Hero Supporter” to show support for the event.

European developers that can’t make it to San Jose can take advantage of a number of satellite events in Europe. The events will take place in LondonMadridParis, and Berlin, with each hosted and curated by local community volunteers. Tickets to the satellite events will range in price from 29 to 50 pounds, depending on location.

For more information, or to get tickets for the event, show your support financially, or buy a ticket to the Escape Room, visit the AltConf website.
