New Images Allegedly Show Molds for 2019 ‘iPhone XI’ and ‘iPhone XI Max’

SlashLeaks has posted an image that allegedly shows 3rd-party molds for cases to protect the upcoming “iPhone XI” and “iPhone XI Max,” which will debut in September.

The molds are said to be produced by case manufacturers, based on leaked schematics to test early case designs for the 2019 iPhone lineup.

A case front design is also shown on a Weibo post which may have been the original source for the images.

The grouping of the triple-camera lenses on the molds does jibe with the rumors we’ve seen over the last few months, which we have seen from Apple’s supply chain.

The 2019 iPhones are said to be similar in size to the 2018 iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.

Well-informed industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says all of the handsets in the 2019 iPhone lineup will boast a 12-megapixel single-lens front camera, which is a nice boost from the current 7-megapixel front-facing shooter on the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.

He also predicts the replacements for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will also feature a triple-lens rear camera, which will include a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel super-wide-angle lens supplied by Sony.
