Apple Celebrates The Toronto Raptors’ NBA Championship

The Toronto Raptors won the 2019 NBA Championship over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night, and Apple is paying tribute to the team with a tribute on their Canadian website.

The tribute appears only on the Canadian website, Apple.ca. Visitors are greeted with a short animation showing floating basketballs, T-Rex dinosaurs (maybe they couldn’t find a raptor on short notice?), and Canadian flag emojis.

Last night’s Raptors win against the Golden State Warriors marked the first ever NBA Championship for a Canadian team.

While a nice gesture, it had to hurt a bit in certain sectors of Apple – especially in a few executive offices. Particularly Eddy Cue’s office, as he is a huge Golden State fan.
