Apple Arcade Subscription Likely to Cost $4.99 per Month

9to5Mac reports Apple’s upcoming Apple Arcade games subscription service will cost $4.99 per month. The publication reports they found the information in one of the APIs used by the App Store app.

Apple Arcade will provide Apple TV, iOS and Mac users with access to a bundle of otherwise paid apps through the App Store. The service will allow access to all member in a Family Sharing account.

9to5Mac says an early access program was being offered to Apple employees for the price of $0.49 per month, with a one-month free trial, until the end of the early access period, which is expected to be when iOS 13 ships to the public.

While the Apple Arcade price hasn’t officially been announced, its possible it will change before its official debut, which could be as early as September 10, when Apple is expected to hold a media event to unveil the new iPhones.
