Here’s a Peek at Six Upcoming Apple Arcade Games

Apple Arcade is scheduled to launch this fall, and will offer iOS, Mac, and Apple TV users access to a library of 100+ games on a subscription basis. They will be full games, with no in-app ads or purchases.

As we reported on Monday, 9to5Mac scored access to an internal early access program for Apple Arcade intended for Apple employees. They were able to ascertain some information about the upcoming service, such as a one-month free trial and a likely subscription price of $4.99 per month in the United States

Now, 9to5Mac‘s Jeff Benjamin has posted a video in which he shares a hands-on look at pre-release beta versions of six games coming to Apple Arcade, including Way of the TurtleDown in BermudaHot LavaKings of the CastleSneaky Sasquatch, and Frogger in Toy Town.

Apple is not only handpicking the games in the new service, they are sharing development costs and working closely with the game creators. Games will be available from Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, LEGO, Mistwalker Corporation, SEGA, Snowman, ustwo games and dozens more developers.

Apple says every game will be playable offline, and many of the games will offer game controller support. Apple Arcade games will be playable across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV devices, allowing players to pick up where they left off in a game, even on another device. New games will be added to the service on a regular basis.

More details and screenshots of each game can be found at 9to5Mac.
