Apple on Thursday released iOS 12.4.2, an update of iOS for older iPhone and iPad models that cannot be updated to iOS 13 and iPadOS.
Compatible hardware for the iOS 12.4.2 update includes the iPhone 5s, the iPhone 6 family of smartphones, the first-generation iPad Air, the second and third-generation iPad mini, and the sixth-generation iPod touch.
It isn’t clear what the new update includes, but is likely to include the ever-popular performance and bug fixes, as well as fixes to allow apps to work with services provided by Apple.
Apple also today released watchOS 5.3.2, an update for the Apple Watch Series 1 and Apple Watch Series 2. That update fixes a vulnerability that could allow a remote attacker to be able to cause unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution.
