Comment by Apple CFO Maestri Indicates We Might Not See an iPad Pro Update in 2019

A comment on yesterday’s Apple earnings call indicates we might not see a refresh of the iPad Pro in 2019.

During the call, Maestri said that Apple’s revenue guidance for the holiday quarter accounts for the fact that the iPad Pro will have different launch timing on a year-over-year basis. Apple’s holiday quarter runs from late September through the end of December. (Via MacRumors)

The comment suggest that although Apple refreshed its iPad Pro lineup in September 2018 that we might not see another refresh until 2020, with Apple factoring that into its financial guidance for the fiscal first quarter of 2020.

We’ve seen multiple reports that an iPad Pro refresh would take place in October. However, considering this is the last day of October, that is looking to be less and less likely. Apple industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has stated he believes Apple will release a new iPad Pro with a 3D time-of-flight camera in 2020.
