Amazon Now Offering Free Ad-Supported Music Via Amazon Music iOS App

Amazon on Monday announced that Amazon Music customers who do not yet have a Prime membership, or a Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, can now listen to an ad-supported selection of top playlists and thousands of stations for free on their favorite devices, including iOS devices.

Amazon had been offering free music access only to owners of Echo devices, but Monday’s announcement expands the free listening to the iPhone and iPad, as well as Android and Fire TV devices. Free Amazon music is also available on the web.

The service does not require a subscription or a credit card or debit card on file, and it is available in the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany.

Amazon say users can play thousands of stations based on “any song, artist, era, and genre.” Some of the playlists include “Fuego Latino,” “Country Heat,” “Rap Rotation,” and “Holiday Favorites.”

Listeners that prefer music without ads can access 50 million songs, including the latest new releases can try the ad-free Amazon Music Unlimited streaming music service for 4-months for just $0.99. Get more information here.
