Apple is planning to offer a holiday App Store “surprise” promotion that will offer special deals on apps and in-app purchases.
In Australia, where it is already the 24th App Store users woke up to an App Store story that mentioned a “surprise” for Tuesday and told them that they could expect a new surprise every day from December 24 to December 29.
The wording of the story suggested that Apple would be giving away free apps and games in a promotion similar to the 12 Days of Christmas promotion that the company ran several years back.
MacRumors reports that New Zealand Apple Store users found their surprises were a special in-app purchase bundle Looney Tunes World of Mayhem and a three-month subscription for the price of one month in Canva.
