Apple on Friday updated its engraving options for the AirPods Charging Case, allowing customers to have their new AirPods case engraved using emoji characters.
AirPod case engraving has always been available, but characters were limited to text, with no emoji characters available. Apple is promoting the new emoji options on their home page, and on the AirPods product pages.
While not all emoji are available, there are several characters available. Options include smiling face, thumbs up, face with tongue stuck out, a ghost, unicorn, bear, skull, dragon, poop, snake, and others.
Customers can have their AirPods and AirPods Pro charging cases engraved with either text or emoji, but not both at the same time. The emoji characters are engraved in a larger style. The engraving text size has also been enlarged a bit.
