Apple Card Finally Adds Ability to Export Transactions to a Spreadsheet – Here’s How To Do It

Ever since the launch of the Apple Card last year, observers and users have bemoaned its inability to export transaction data for importing into budgeting and accounting packages such as Mint, Quicken, YNAB, and others.

Your cries have been heard, as Apple’s little credit card that could now offers an option to download a spreadsheet that includes all Apple Card data for importing into budgeting apps.

TechCrunch outlines the steps for Apple Card users to follow to create and access a document containing their monthly transactions:

  • Open the Wallet app.
  • Choose ‌Apple Card‌.
  • Tap the “Card Balance” option.
  • Tap on a monthly statement.
  • Tap “Export Transactions.”

The option to export transactions will appear when a monthly statement is available. Apple Card‌ transactions are presently exported via Share Sheet as a CSV document, but in the future, Apple also plans to add an OFX option.

While this is a definite step forward, users of some apps, like Quicken (which doesn’t support CSV files) will need to do an additional bit of file conversion before importing it into their favorite app.
