Target’s inventory system appears to be leaking details on upcoming Apple products. Listings for “Airpods (X Generation)” with a price tag of $399, “Apple TV Gen X,” “Apple iPod Touch X Generation” and “Apple Watch Series X” bands have all shown up in the retail giant’s system.
Target employees forwarded images of the listings to 9to5Mac, which originally published the information. These all appear to be system placeholder names and could be representative of future products, though it’s not clear if the products are actually on the way.
As we’ve seen in the past, such system listings are not necessarily indicative of coming products, so we’ll have to wait and see. We wouldn’t bet on the pricing information being accurate, as these are obviously system placeholders.
The Airpods (X Generation) has a price tag of $399, Apple TV Gen X a price of $180, the Apple iPod Touch X Generation is priced at $400, and the Apple Watch Series X band prices are listed for $50. There are three listings for the Apple Watch bands and four duplicate entries for the supposed new Apple TV.
While we have heard rumors of an Apple event that would take place on March 31st, no official announcement has been made. Rumors have suggested a new lower-cost ”iPhone SE 2″ will debut at the event, and an Apple TV, and an updated iPad Pro are also rumored to possibly debut next month.
