Apple Shares Detailed ‘Technical Overview’ White Papers of Pro Display XDR and Mac Pro

Apple today published two new “Technical Overview” white papers that offer an in-depth look at the technology and feature set of the Mac Pro and the Pro Display XDR.

The Mac Pro overview and the Pro Display XDR overview (both are PDFs) offer a look at the key features and components of both products, providing detailed information on every component. The documents contain details on architecture, the physical enclosure, different configuration options, and much more. Also included are also detailed images and graphics with annotations.

The Mac Pro document highlights the pro-level Mac’s case, Intel Xeon W chip, GPUs, PCIe expansion slots, MPX module, I/O, T2 chip, SSD, and more. It also goes into the design choices for the computer, offers a deep look at its performance and technical specification. While much of the information has been shared previously in Apple product pages and marketing info, but this is the first time all of the information can be found in a single source.

The Pro Display XDR white paper contains a similar amount of information about the pro-level display, providing details about display panel components, LED backlighting system, display accuracy, reference modes, enclosure design mounting, technical specifications, and much more.

Just like the Mac Pro information, much of this has already been shared by Apple, but this is the first time it’s been available in one document.
